Queen's Award for Innovation

A unique recognition

HRH The Princess Royal visited The Training Foundation’s Coventry training centres on 24 October 2005 to present the Company with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation. The Award recognised the creation and continuous development of the TAP Learning System by The Training Foundation since 1998 and its proven success in raising the quality of training.

Why was TAP recognised by the Queen's Award for Innovation?

TAP introduced a revolutionary concept for training – assessment against best-practice standards!

Whilst benchmarking and measurement are common practice for all other business functions, training has often been a‘measurement-free zone’. The Prime Minister’s review panel judged the assessment models at the heart of TAP worthy of the first innovation award for training in the Awards’ 40 year history.
