Performance Improvement
The role of line managers is pivotal to improving organisational performance. Building a high-performance team requires managers to be able to engage the hearts and minds of their people. This is often overlooked in management development programmes.
The Rules of Engagement white paper will be of interest to all people-managers. It has been endorsed by the Government's engagement guru, David Macleod.
You can read the Rules of Engagement here or request a printed copy (UK only). The paper incorporates the latest research into the drivers of engagement. Analysis of multiple international research reports by occupational psychologists has identified six drivers as being of major importance and broadly universal.
At the same time, remarkable discoveries from neuroscience and genetics have upgraded the role of emotions in human decision-making and these insights suggest that employee engagement can be significantly improved by addressing the six key drivers, employees’ emotional ‘hot spots’. However, doing so means a fundamental review of the traditional model for managing people in the workplace. We would be happy to discuss this new management paradigm with you.
