Developing a career pathway

“I am interested in developing a structured career pathway for
our L&D team”

That’s excellent! Regrettably, our experience in working with many organisations over the last decade is that very few have paid serious attention to this.  Doing so sends a clear message to all L&D staff that they are valued for their respective contributions and encourages skills development. It also builds morale and increases employee engagement and retention.

Before the launch of the TAP Learning System in 1998, no comprehensive, coherent skills architecture and qualifications framework existed on which a progressive career pathway could logically be based.

Today, TAP provides a holistic framework of qualifications for everyone involved in facilitating the learning and development of others.  It can be mapped to job roles and responsibilities or can be used to architect an L&D function to recognise skills and competencies.  The TAP Skills Programme includes short courses for new entrants and part-time trainers not fully engaged in training roles, who may later decide to develop an L&D career.

The career pathway illustrated (click in the side-bar where indicated to see this) is simply an example - we would be happy to discuss your specific needs with you.
