Nortel Networks implements pan-European TAP programme
Nortel Networks, a global leader in telephony, data, wireless and wireline solutions for the Internet, has scheduled its 150 trainers throughout Europe to undergo delivery skills refresher training during 2000. Senior Nortel Networks instructors from the UK, Germany and France are undergoing training from the Training Foundation in its TAP Learning System methodology and will commence rolling out this training to Nortel Network's own trainers during February.
Les Meadows, Director, Educational Services - EMEA comments; "Nortel Networks constantly strives towards maximising customer satisfaction. Ensuring that all our trainers are developing their soft skills entirely complements the focus we place on their technical abilities."
Nick Mitchell, Chief Executive of the Foundation, says "We are delighted with this endorsement from such a global player. Achieving the support of a major quality-driven organisation like Nortel is a huge step forward in establishing TAP internationally. The ability to assess trainer performance objectively to best-practice standards has universal appeal and Nortel joins more than 250 organisations which have now put trainers through the TAP programme within the last year or so."
