The Competency Frameworks
The training world is in a state of flux – even turmoil. Today, an organisation’s training and development activities are less likely to be focused through a central L&D function than they are to be decentralised to business units or outsourced to one or a multitude of external providers. Indeed, in many cases, there is a combination of all three approaches in multiple hues.
In such fast-changing times, setting and maintaining coherent quality assurance standards becomes a critical function of a central L&D strategy. Assessable performance metrics, based on best-practice Competency Frameworks, enable consistency and quality to be monitored, whatever the training medium and whatever the source of the trainers. The TAP programme is based on an internationally-recognised competency framework.
