The TAP Learning System - core elements
Organisational L&D Standards
Regrettably, training does not meet the definition of a true profession. There is no licence to practise. No mandatory level of qualification for practitioners. No universal best-practice Standards for learning transfer processes, for designing, developing and delivering training, for coaching, for learning resources and so on. This often results in hit-and-miss outcomes. The TAP Learning System uniquely puts Standards and quality assurance at the heart of L&D functions enabling guaranteed results – training can be professionalised!

Skills Programme
The variable standard of teaching and training in the UK across all strands of adult education is largely due to a fundamental misconception - the belief that all you need to train someone else is knowledge of the subject. In practice, training skills play a greater role in transferring knowledge and skills than the content of the learning itself!
That is why L&D specialists, line managers and subject matter experts in training or performance support roles need people skills to train, coach and develop others. Yet there's more!
In addition, people-managers need skills to heighten engagement levels since attitudes are at least as important to performance as ability. Training disengaged hearts and minds is a waste of money!
For the first time a practical model has been defined to assist people-managers to fully engage with their team members. This is the unique CHOICE™ model which forms the basis of the Manager-of-CHOICE™ programme within the TAP Learning System.
In total, there are more than 30 role-specific, behaviour-changing short-courses in the TAP Skills Programme.
