Dedicated train-the-trainer development centres
Where can I learn to become a trainer?
The Training Foundation has been operating the UK’s leading train the trainer public course programme ever since 1998. Every year thousands of trainers and other learning and development specialists seeking professional development make their way to our two specially equipped train the trainer centres located at the University of Warwick Science Park in Coventry, England.
Both centres are located within easy reach of Coventry station, located an hour north of Euston Station, London on the West Coast Mainline railway.
Birmingham International Airport is just half an hour away, opening up speedy and convenient access to trainers working anywhere around the world. A map and directions can be downloaded in Adobe Acrobat format from here.
How are the centres equipped to help me become a training professional?
Because The Training Foundation specialises in train the trainer initiatives both of our centres have integrated sound and video recording systems. These allow our trainers and the learners to review training delivery sessions in high fidelity sound and vision, without the visible intrusion of video cameras and microphones. Delegates that attend training delivery skills events leave with a personal DVD showing the relative shift in their training performance between the first day of the event and the final day.
How do the centres cater for the needs of Information Technology (IT Trainers)
As a result of a long standing alliance with the Institute of IT Training (IITT), The Training Foundation has more extensive large-scale experience of training IT trainers than any other provider. Our ‘train the IT trainer’ facilities are second to none.
TAP professional qualifications in training delivery skills can be achieved through courses that are specifically contextualised for the IT Trainer, delivered in a typical networked IT technology room environment. Training courses for other types of training professional are catered for in more standard classroom/facilitation room layouts.
What facilities exist for learning about e-Learning and Blended Learning?
The Training Foundation has been offering courses in e-Learning skills since 2000 and in blended learning skills since 2005. Specialist facilities exist to support trainer-training in the effective use of virtual classroom systems, podcasting for learning outcomes and other Web 2.0 learning technologies.
