Award winning 'train the trainer' public course programmes

The Training Foundation has been operating the UK’s leading train the trainer public course programme ever since 1998.  Every year thousands of trainers and other learning and development specialists make their way to our two dedicated train the trainer centres located on the University of Warwick Science Park in Coventry, England.

Winner of the Queen’s award for Enterprise Innovation in 2005, the TAP Learning System represents the ideal choice for anyone training to become a trainer.

Considering training to become a trainer?

This thriving public course programme represents an ideal choice for training functions seeking training skills development and training skills certification options for small teams or for new starters on an ongoing basis.  The public programme also meets the needs of larger training functions seeking to avoid the operational disruption caused by diverting groups of trainers from their training schedule to attend closed courses.

Increasingly our public course programme is also selected by larger organisations that are seeking to expose their learning and development specialists to the people, policies and working practices adopted by other world class brands across a range sectors.  For a range of case studies and recent testimonials please click here

Finally, the public programme is extremely popular with private individuals seeking professional Continuing Professional Development (CPD), freelance trainers or others looking to develop a career in training and development by obtaining an up-date train-the trainer qualification.

Why TAP train the trainer courses deliver results

Whatever your background, you will benefit from small group sizes, leading to high levels of one-to-one support from our specialist train the trainer instructors.  In most cases you will find yourself in a group of no more than six people, with a guarantee that you will find no more than seven delegates on any TAP certificated course.

TAP train-the-trainer qualifications

Successful completion leads to the award of train-the-trainer qualifications from the external awarding body of your choice.  These certificates build incrementally, one on another, providing a path from a Foundation Award in training skills to a top-level TAP Diploma in Learning and Development, in e-Learning or in Blended Learning.

TAP professional qualifications in training delivery skills can be achieved through events specifically contextualised for the IT Trainer, delivered in a technology room format.  Alternatively all other types of trainer are catered for in more standard classroom/facilitation room layouts.

The options currently available include train-the-trainer awards from the British Institute for Learning and Development, ABC Awards, the Institute of IT Training and the European Institute for e-Learning (EIfeL).

A dedicated train the trainer facility

Since The Training Foundation specialises in train the trainer programmes all courses delivered in the public programme at our centres make use of integrated sound and video recording systems.  These allow our trainer and the learners to review training delivery sessions in high fidelity sound and vision, without the visible intrusion of video cameras and microphones.
